Aggressive Overhaul of your Raptor’s Suspension System with Legendary ICON Quality

The 2017-2019 Raptors may have some awesome 3.0 Fox dampers that can handle a lot of abuse, but the front strut assemblies can’t add any ride height and aggressive off-roading can start showing some of the weaknesses of the factory 3.0 dampers. That’s where ICON’s Stage 3 Suspension System comes in. ICON’s 2017-2019 Raptor Stage 3 Kit comes with both 3.0 Bump Zone Finned Remote Reservoir Front Coilovers, 3.0 Bump Zone Bypass Rear Shocks, ICON Billet Delta Joint Upper Control Arms, and ICON RXT Leaf Springs that provide a total overhaul of your Raptor’s handling and off-road performance. The ICON 3.0 front coilovers can add up to 3″ of front ride height while the rear shocks can handle up to 3″ of additional ride height over stock, letting you throw on aftermarket leaf packs without breaking a sweat. Coilovers with 3″ Shock Bodies with Heavy-Duty Springs and Finned Remote Reservoirs

ICON’s 3.0 coilovers were purpose-designed and built to provide improved rebound, compression, fade resistance, and travel over the stock Fox coilover assemblies. The ICON 3.0s have a 3″ diameter shock body made out of aluminum that’s wrapped in a heavy-duty, barreled coil spring. The coilover’s remote reservoirs are likewise made out of aluminum and feature a finned exterior that provides an enormous improvement in heat dissipation over the stock Fox coilovers. The reservoirs also come standard with ICON’s CDCV adjusters that allow you to dial in their compression to get just the right amount of fine-tuning for your Raptor’s current application. Inside the shock body, ICON includes their unique Bump Zone system at the bottom of the body. The Bump Zone is a section of the body that accepts the coilover’s bump piston and has carefully designed bleed ports that increases bottoming out resistance in the last 40% of travel. The coilovers also have a hydraulic top-out zone control with a disc spring clutch and shock fluid, which acts like an internal limit strap to prevent over-travel. Each coilover features CNC machined aluminum mounts, and the lower mount uses a heavy-duty FK Rod End Spherical bearing for the LCA. The coilovers are fully rebuildable and will drop right into place of the stock coilover assemblies.

6061 Billet Aluminum Control Arms with ICON Delta Joint and Heim Body Mounts

Each ICON Billet Upper Control Arm is built extremely tough in order to resist warping, bending, or cracking during aggressive off-road driving. The main body of the control arms is made out of CNC machined 6061 billet aluminum with a boxed design that give them much greater strength than stock while staying fairly lightweight. The ICON Delta Joint features a fully-sealed design that keeps dust, dirt, and other grime out of its moving parts which gives it much improved reliability and longevity over a traditional uniball joint. While resembling a ball joint, the ICON Delta Joint has more deflection for improved droop travel and is also much stronger so that it won’t pull apart during heavy articulation. The ICON control arms are held to the truck using durable FK Rod End 7/8″ heim joints. The control arms come standard with built-in O-rings and a dust cover cap for the Delta Joint.

Rear Shocks with 3″ Shock Bodies with Three-Tube Bypass and Finned Remote Reservoirs

ICON’s 3.0 rear shocks were purpose-designed and built to provide improved rebound, compression, fade resistance, and travel over the stock Fox coilover assemblies. The ICON 3.0s have a 3″ diameter shock body made out of aluminum with built-in bypass tubes. The shock’s piggyback reservoirs are likewise made out of aluminum and feature a finned exterior that provides an enormous improvement in heat dissipation over the stock Fox coilovers. All three bypass tubes feature knurled adjustment knobs that make it a breeze to independently adjust rebound and compression to perfectly dial in your Raptor’s performance. Inside the shock body, ICON includes their unique Bump Zone system at the bottom of the body. The Bump Zone is a section of the body that accepts the shock’s bump piston and has carefully designed bleed ports that increases bottoming out resistance in the last 40% of travel. The shocks also have a hydraulic top-out zone control with a disc spring clutch and shock fluid, which acts like an internal limit strap to prevent over-travel. Each shocks features CNC machined aluminum mounts, and the mounts use heavy-duty FK Rod End spherical bearings. The shocks are fully rebuildable and will drop right into place of the stock coilover assemblies.

Extremely Strong and Durable Leaf Springs with Excellent Ride Quality and Travel

ICON’s Multi-Rate Leaf Springs were designed for an excellent fit on your Raptor while being backed by ICON quality that you can count on in even the most extreme conditions and terrain. Each spring in the leaf packs is made out of extremely strong spring steel, and each pack features a triple military wrap front eyelet and half-wrap rear eyelet that provide excellent durability and reliability. The leaf packs include specially-designed rebound springs reduces the chances of axle wrap and limits the severity of any axle wrap that you may encounter. Each spring in the Multi-Rate Leaf Packs comes with leaf separators and tip inserts to reduce noise during operation. The Multi-Rate Leaf Springs install right into place of your Raptor’s stock leaf springs with only minimal amounts of hardware trimming for proper fitment. ICON includes installation hardware and install instructions.

Ride Height Settings:

  • +1.00″ over Stock: use leaf packs out of the box without additional add-a-leaf
  • +2.25″ over Stock: use add-a-leafs in place of the #3 leaf. +20% spring rate. +1.00″ height with 400lbs of load.
  • +3.00″ over Stock: use add-a-leafs in #3 position with all other leaf springs. +40% spring rate. +.50″ height with 850lbs of load

Requires ICON Hydraulic Bump Stop Kit or Bump Stop Spacers: ICON’s leaf springs are ideally meant to be used with ICON’s Hydraulic Bump Stop Kit. If your Raptor is not equipped with a bump stop kit, ICON’s Rear Bump Stop Spacers will be required for installation.

Some Trimming Required: ICON’s leaf springs require trimming of some of your Raptor’s factory hardware for proper installation.

Fitment: 2017-2019 Raptor

Backspacing Requirements: this kit can be used with the factory wheels and tires. It does require at least an 8.5″ wide wheel with a maximum of 5″ of backspace in order to clear a 35×12.50″ wide tire, however.

2019 Raptor Fitment: 2019 Raptors will require ICON’s Live Valve Interface Module in order to disable the Live Valve system and prevent limp mode and other issues.
