The restrictive air duct was redesigned in Mishimoto’s intake and placed instead in the rotational-molded air box. The inlet cross-section uses 40% more area, removes two bends in the air path, and shortened the path by 50% for better air flow. The stock intake hose also is replaced with a rotational-molded tube for more flow volume. The stock air box lid additionally has been replaced with a silicone grommet to connect the intake tube and air filter to the air box. This alllows for more flexibility and engine movement. The kit is topped off with instructions and all the hardware necessary for installation. No cutting or modifications are required.
Uses the Best Components
Mishimoto’s intake system uses an XLPE, Cross-Linked Polyethylene plastic in its rotational-molded airbox and intake tube. THE XLPE material is not only stronger, but resists heat and UV rays.
